Robyn Savage (00:00.61)
Hello, welcome back to the 17 minutes podcast. I am your host, Robin Savage, the behavioral brand strategist. We are building your personal brand using strategies and information about your actual behavioral wiring so that your brand is authentic, so that people can connect with you, so that you can sustain success as it comes. And one thing that we know about
entrepreneurship, about selling, about marketing, about being of service and having an impact with your work is that being authentic is what builds trust with your audience and that trust is what actually converts. So here we're gonna find out what makes you you. We're gonna strategically pull it into your brand, into your content, into your offerings, into your pricing strategies, into...
absolutely everything that you do so that that authenticity shines through everything that you do. Your audience can feel it. They convert faster. They fall in love with you. They tell your friends. You can see where this is going, right? So what I wanna talk to you about today is your content messaging, okay? How are you actually showing up to share what you offer? How are you selling yourself? How are you articulating it? How are you talking about it?
So I've spent literally years studying the way that people write, how they create content, how they draft sales pages, how they write promotional content, whatever it is. And what I have learned in studying people's messaging is not that it's a lack of clarity. You know what you do, yeah? You know the value in it. You know what you're offering people. So you have the clarity. It's also not...
always about getting more specific. Though sometimes this is definitely the case. We have the tendency to ramble on or to soften our message or to over explain ourselves. But usually it's not actually that you need to get more specific. It's that you need to communicate your message in a way that sounds like you. You need to use your voice. You need to use your enunciation, articulation, expression, body language, your words, your tone.
Robyn Savage (02:22.21)
You need to use the phrases that you use that no one else uses. You need to use your favorite analogies to break down complex ideas. There's so much you in your message that you're likely missing out on because what's happened is you have seen all of these frameworks, right? You've seen all these templates. You've seen people achieving the success that you desire and naturally you try and mirror that.
Right? That sounds like, well, this works for this person. So if I just adapt it a little bit to make it sound like mine, then maybe that'll work for me. But what we don't realize is that we all have a natural communication style. Okay? And if we are not communicating as ourselves, if we are going against our own behavioral wiring, when it comes to messaging, communication, words, tone, language, et cetera,
then we break the line of trust that we could have built with our audience because our audience can smell our fakeness. They can smell our performative words. They can smell the fluff. They can smell the like crap of you trying to be someone that you're not and they are not falling for it anymore. It's.
It's 2026 and false fake performative marketing is just not working anymore because our audience, our communities, our people, we are so trained to smell bullshit from a mile away, right? We've been sold to for years by big businesses. We've drank the corporate Kool-Aid and now we as consumers are like, no, okay, just
No, we are not doing that anymore. I am not falling for that anymore. So real authentic messaging, even the bloopers, even the weird body language, even the quirks, especially the quirks are what's going to build that trust faster than ever. So we want to actually lean into your natural communication style. And if you're trying to write like or create content like or speak on a podcast like anyone else,
Robyn Savage (04:47.042)
then you are missing that opportunity to build that trust and convert. So here's what I wanna tell you, okay? Behavioral communication style, there's four types and then there's a number of hybrids. If you don't have your identity report yet, if you don't know what your communication style is, then you are 100 % making content creation, sales and promotional, marketing content, video record, all of it. You're making it so much harder on yourself than you need to be. And I wanna break this down for you.
Okay, so in your identity report, through the behavioral science analysis, you learn your communication style, how you are actually designed to communicate most effectively and naturally. And there are these four main types of communication style that I'm gonna break down for you. So the very first one is high dominance. High dominance people are direct, they are fast, and they are bottom line, okay? They skip the fluff, they don't...
over dramatize anything. They're not, you know, nurturing people forever. They are just getting to the point, delivering the message as the message is, and their voice is designed for that. Okay? So if you're a highly dominant person in your identity report, shows you that, then you don't actually want nurture heavy content. You want to get to the point so that your audience can hear it from you so that you don't feel this draggy energy.
you aren't missing the point. And what happens when you don't align with your communication style as a high dominance person is you get bored and your audience gets bored. And when you don't get directly to the thing that you wanna say, all of the energy, all of the excitement around what you're saying just like fizzles out and dies, dies a slow death, okay? So.
If you're high dominance, get to the point so that your audience doesn't bounce and keep scrolling before you actually get to say what you want to say. Okay, this is gonna increase your sales. So high dominance, please be more direct. If you are high extraversion, then you're energetic, you're relational, you think out loud, you like to be conversational, you like to have that energetic exchange. This is what's gonna make you magnetic. This is what's gonna...
Robyn Savage (07:06.43)
make people want to engage with you. But if you're highly extroverted and you're trying to be extremely strategic and educate and be really intellectual, then you're missing out on the opportunity to magnetize, to attract, to draw in your sole client through your biggest gift, which is the ability to connect. So if you are a highly extroverted person,
then you are going to wanna build that connection. That's gonna be your number one content strategy and your identity report is gonna break down your entire content strategy. It's gonna break down your entire business marketing plan based on your communication style, okay? So the third one is high pace. High pace people need time to process.
Okay, I am not a high-paced person. I'm not sure if you could tell that, but I am high dominance, high extroverted. So I'm quick, I'm direct, I'm relational, conversational. I get to the point and I make it about you. I like to have a conversation with you. High-paced people are a little bit more intentional, a little bit more thoughtful in the way that they produce, in the way that they communicate. So if you are someone who has
a high pace reading on your behavioral assessment and people are just constantly telling you to just post, just get it out there, stop overthinking it. Well, this goes directly against your behavioral wiring and you're actually gonna feel forced, you're gonna feel pressured and that is gonna create this restriction in your body that has you like really hating the entire content creation process. And we don't want you to hate the process because if you hate the process, then you're not gonna do the process. So for my high pacers in the room,
give yourself the processing time that you need to create your best work. Okay, you write carefully, okay? And if you try and skip over that, then you're gonna leave out your credibility, okay? And credibility leads to conversions. But if you are just trying to skim the surface to get a piece of content out to launch your sales page, to get your offer out in the world and you're not giving yourself the processing time, then,
Robyn Savage (09:25.206)
you're missing out on the opportunity to build that credibility with your audience. Okay. Because you're not going deep enough. So my high-paced people slow down, be more intentional, take your time. Doesn't give you an excuse to get caught in the perfection trap. I see you. It also doesn't give you a permission slip to wait until you're ready. It just gives you permission to take a little bit more time, to be a little bit more
planned out and methodical with your content creation, with your conversations, with your sales calls, with your lives, whatever it is, because that's what you need in order for your authentic voice to land. And when you do this for yourself, high pacers, people are gonna feel you, they're going to trust you, you're gonna build credibility, you're gonna build authority because you are in your power when you give yourself this time to process. That is gonna be such a huge shift for your brand and your
business and your sales and everything. So if you take one thing away from this podcast, like let that be it. Okay. If you're a high pacer, slow down. Lastly, we've got high conformity. So high conformity people are structured, proof driven. Okay. If you are a high C trying to be really casual, trying to be really conversational, trying to...
keep it super real with your homies on the internet, you know, you're like, no, you're running to sound like everyone else. You're wanting to sound like this person who's like, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. But actually it's never gonna feel like you, you're gonna feel like you are, you know,
a mom hanging out in a room with teenagers trying to feel like a cool teenager. Meanwhile, your insides are like, girl, why are you gonna be so cramped? You you've got to be yourself and high conformity people like the structure. So you will really create your best content if you have a framework, if you have a template to follow, if you have a really strategic content map, you get all of that inside your identity report based on your full behavioral analysis.
Robyn Savage (11:43.832)
but high conformity people in the house, let me give you permission to have like a Monday plan, a Tuesday plan, a Wednesday plan, a Thursday, a a day, a day, you know, give yourself a plan, stick to it. It's gonna give you a rhythm. It's gonna give you a beat. It's gonna give you a steadiness that your brand's been missing. And that steadiness and that beat and that rhythm are what give your audience something to connect to, something to trust, something to vibe with. And that is what's gonna lead to.
your conversions, your community and your growth. So you're gonna educate, you're going to tell stories with a framework, all of this is in your identity report. So if you haven't gotten your identity report, highly, highly recommend it. So here's what I want you to take away from this pod today. Your voice, it's like 2026, you guys, it's almost 2026, it's December 2nd and we have to understand
that now more than ever with voices of AI, with AI integration in every single business, particularly in the online space, real equals results. If you know what your real is on a science level, then it is easier to implement it at a strategic level. So let's get into the science of you so that you can build a brand that is you. You'll have it all mapped out, all laid out.
And this is, I believe, the key winner, like the key differentiator for businesses in 2026 is gonna be how clear, how yourself, how articulate, how smart can you be with your strategic plays? It's gonna drown out all of the other players in the industry who are stuck in the past, still trying to create content that sounds like everyone else. Now is the time to get super laser focused to hone in on your zone of genius.
to stay in your lane and to a hundred times it. Fuck 10 times, right? Let's a hundred times it. Let's go all in on you. So go grab your identity report. The link is in the show notes.
